looking back at 2025: Tamil dance across the nation 💃🏾

2025 was an epic year for Tamil dance. We had the opportunity to experience Tamil culture through dance with so many different communities across the nation, and it was incredibly inspiring to witness Tamil creativity come to life, and to realize how many people have embraced it.

Dance has always been a powerful form of expression. It's also a way to build community and to experience the culture. Our goal is to make that experience more accessible to as many people as possible by creating bigger spaces and platforms where our culture could be celebrated and shared in meaningful and elevated ways.

This year, we're continuing that mission.

Semi-Classical USA tour with Suhana 🎶

Suhana is a New York City–based dancer (formally trained in Bharathanatyam since the age of 6!), singer, and creator who teaches a wide range of styles, including Semi-Classical, Bharatnatyam-Fusion, Garba, Raas, Indo-Contemporary and more!

For the very first time, she's taking Tamil Semi-Classical dance across the nation, bringing epic, iconic, and deeply loved Tamil songs to life through Semi-Classical dance styles. She's beyond excited to connect with dancers and communities across cities and can't wait to share the energy on the dance floor with all of you!

the first ever Tamil Meetup in the 🇺🇸 was in NYC back in January 2023 and we're going to celebrate our community's 3 year anniversary with a full month of meetups across the country 💎
